Getting Started
Connect Bunny CDN
Forward Bunny request logs to Honeylog using DataDog and JSON, with full visitor IP addresses.
Bunny automatically forwards request logs to Honeylog over HTTPS using its DataDog protocol and JSON format. No script or server agent is needed. You do not need a Bunny API key or Pull Zone ID.
#Before you open Bunny
Select the website in Honeylog and open Settings > Installation > Bunny CDN to get its existing ingestion secret. The selected Honeylog site must match the domain in the Bunny logs. Use the Pull Zone that serves this domain.
This public guide uses SITE_TOKEN as a placeholder. Replace it with the token shown on the authenticated installation page for the selected site; do not enter SITE_TOKEN literally or create a separate credential.
#Step 1: Enable log forwarding
- Open the Pull Zone that serves this website in Bunny.
- Go to
Logging. - Turn on
Enable log forwarding.
#Step 2: Enter the forwarding values
Enter each value in its own Bunny field:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Hostname | api.honeylog.io |
| Port | 443 |
| Token | SITE_TOKEN |
| Log server protocol | DataDog |
| Log format | JSON |
Token is required by Honeylog, even if Bunny labels it optional. It is the selected site's existing ingestion secret and is case-sensitive. A missing or incorrect token prevents ingestion.
Enter the hostname without https:// and without any path. Bunny builds the HTTP path automatically from the token and sends logs to https://api.honeylog.io/v1/input/SITE_TOKEN. This URL only explains the destination: you do not need to construct or paste it into Bunny.
No custom subdomains, wildcards, or DNS configuration are needed.
#Step 3: Required — disable Anonymize log IPs
Uncheck
Anonymize log IPsbefore saving. Bunny enables this option by default.Anonymized IP addresses compromise visitor identification, sessions, and bot verification. This integration requires full IP addresses to work correctly.
Confirm in Bunny that this checkbox is off before continuing to Step 4.
#Step 4: Save and check events in Honeylog
- Click
Save Forwarding Configurationin Bunny. - Visit a few pages on the website through its Bunny-served domain.
- Return to the selected site in Honeylog and check that the new events appear.
Copying these values or saving details in Honeylog does not complete the installation. Honeylog does not automatically verify your Bunny configuration; check the settings in Bunny and confirm event arrival in Honeylog.
#If no events arrive
