How the free trial works

Every new account starts with 14 free days of the full product, no card required. Here is what you get and what changes once they are over.

When you create a Honeylog account you get 14 days of the paid product for free. You do not enter a card to start, and nothing is charged when the two weeks are over. This page explains what you can do in the meantime, and what happens if you reach the end without picking a plan.

#When the clock starts

The 14 days begin the moment you create your account, not the first time traffic reaches Honeylog. It is worth connecting a website straight away, because the sooner requests start flowing in, the more you get to see before you decide.

You never have to count the days yourself. While the trial is running, a banner at the top of the dashboard tells you how much time is left. It stays calm for the first week, warns you once you are inside the last seven days, and turns urgent in the final two. On the last day it counts the hours instead of the days.

#What you get in those 14 days

The trial is not a reduced version of Honeylog. For two weeks your team works with the same capacity as the Business plan:

  • 20 websites
  • 25 people in the team
  • 5 networks
  • 20 alerts
  • 500,000 requests a month
  • Historical data import
  • Full CSV export

During the trial the API and the MCP server accept up to 60 calls a minute. That is enough room to build an integration and test it properly, without an unpaid account becoming a way to pull data in bulk.

#What happens when the trial ends

If you have not subscribed by the fourteenth day, the dashboard locks. Nobody on the team can open the reports until the team has a plan.

What you see depends on who you are. If you own the team, Honeylog takes you straight to the Marketplace so you can choose a plan and carry on. If you belong to somebody else's team, you get a short page explaining that the team has no active subscription, with the owner's email address so you know who to ask. The API and the MCP server stop answering too, and reply that an active subscription is required.

Billing stays open to you the whole time. The Marketplace, your billing details, your card (in case you submitted it), and your invoices are all still reachable, because those are exactly the pages you need in order to come back.

#Your data is still there

Locking the dashboard does not throw anything away. Your sites, your settings, your team, and the traffic Honeylog already recorded stay exactly as you left them.

For roughly a month after the trial ends we also keep building the daily reports for your sites. Subscribe inside that window and your history is waiting for you, with no hole in the middle where the trial ran out.

#Subscribing before the end

You do not have to wait for the last day, and subscribing early does not cost you the days you have left. Open the Marketplace, choose a tier and whether you want to pay monthly or yearly, fill in your billing details, and complete the checkout through Stripe. Access is restored at once, and the limits of the plan you bought replace the trial ones.

Plans & billing walks through the Marketplace, invoices, and payment methods in more detail.

#Common questions

Will I be charged when the trial ends? No. There card is not required during the trial, unless you add one yourself, so the trial simply stops and waits for you.

I need a few more days to finish testing. Get in touch and tell us what you are still evaluating. Our team will be happy to extend your trial in case you need it.

What happens if i added 6 websites during the trial but i want to buy a Lite Plan with max 5 websites? In this case you will not be able to purchase a Lite plan at the end of the trial since we collected data for 6 websites (Above the 5 websites LITE limits). Just contact us and our team will be happy to assist you.
